Her journey During, After, Since… During: It felt so easy. Just slip into it like warm water. Inviting like open arms. Sleek like heated oil to barely damp skin. Her brain drunk it in. The seducing sadness crept around her mind. Its fog reaching in to darken every place warm light had never been until there was nothing but darkness. She watched it play around her feet. Coiling her thoughts within its squirming mass. Each day began with a sigh. The alarm rang. The first thoughts of everyday were critical. She steadied herself against the hate she felt for the days new sun. Its faithful rising always taunted her. It never wavered and brought its yellow sun and blue skies. She wondered, ‘Why can’t I wake up ...

All Ways and Always

Scriptural Reference: Hebrews 13:8 'JESUS CHRIST the same yesterday, and today, and forever.'   JESUS, you are faithful to yourself. I benefit from your consistency. JESUS, I won't insult your integrity by entertaining doubt. JESUS, in all ways you are always faithful and true.   I cannot wait for my circumstance to look like the object of my faith and hope before I trust HIM and rejoice. I cannot wait for my finite mind to understand the work HE does in secret before I thank HIM for HIS perfect knowledge and completed plans for my life. I cannot listen to the ever-changing climate of the day and expect to maintain peace, hope, and joy.   I rest in HIS love. I hope in HIS WORD. I believe HIS heart towards me is always good.   Feel free to shine,   OneLight     © M Del Publishing 2022. All rights reserved.

Scripture Reference: Genesis, Chapter 37 As we read our text, we see plainly that Joseph is Jacob’s favorite son. This is not Joseph’s fault. However, this favored place will influence the events that follow. Joseph’s dreams, fancy attire, and all those implied ‘ornaments’ of specialness prove to be more than his eleven brothers can stomach. Genesis 37:11 states that Joseph’s brothers were jealous of him. If the elder brothers’ feelings were merely pangs of unmet desire, comparisons, and the gnawing ‘sub-par’ and shadowing doubts they still needed therapy and healing in their self-value. Amidst this brewing resentment, suddenly, one day, Jacob sends Joseph to find his brothers who are tending their father’s sheep. Jacob believed his sons were in Shechem. Joseph is wandering in some nameless fields and a passerby he asks tells him that his brothers are in Dothan. As Joseph approaches his brothers, in those final moments before he joins them, his brothers plot how to kill Joseph. Jos...

Scriptural Reference: Habakkuk 3:16-19   “When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: when he cometh up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops. “Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: “Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the GOD of my salvation. ‘The LORD GOD is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me walk upon my high places. Q and A

If you ask GOD, "Why ... ?" HE may well answer: ... "I know you..." ... "I know my will..." ... "I know my plans..." ... "I know my timing..." ... (with silence) ... In the midst of this 'Q and A' remember what you are certain of:  JESUS loves me forever. Feel free to shine, One Light Copyright 2022 Mdelpublishing.com All rights reserved.

the remedy

scripture reference: psalm 37:4, 'delight yourself in the LORD, and HE will give you the desires of your heart.' more than sight, sound, or substance. the remedy for moments of uncertainty is to know the will of GOD. '...the LORD will give us the desires of our heart.' this scripture, is easily understood to mean, "every desire of my heart will be provided by GOD." however, i believe, a more accurate understanding is, "GOD places within my heart the desires HE will fulfill." the latter perspective will remedy every shadow of discontent and allay many of the uncertainties of life. there is, in the will of GOD, a place of confident assurance, lasting peace, and resurging joy in knowing we are in HIS purpose. the perilous times of our lives are in the steady hand of GOD. there is a place of peace in JESUS during the storm. our GOD is reliable, faithful, and dependable. GOD's nature is integrity. abiding in GOD's will is the remedy for thes...

Diligence

Scriptural reference: Proverbs 4:23 ‘Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.’ Diligence, defined as careful and persistent work or effort, requires opposition. Without diligence, we will either do, or not do something without any way to gauge progress, defeat, or the goal being met.                                        Quote: ‘If winning doesn’t matter, why keep score?’ It is unwise to suppose that desire alone is enough to insure we meet our life’s challenges, arrive at destiny, and are steadily on course with our Kingdom purpose. The press, intentional aim, and GOD-guided focus of our life must be in perfect unison with faithful diligence. Each moment’s action, inaction, and adherence to the truths Jesus has spoken in HIS WORD must guide our hearts. The life of your heart is not your blood. The life of ...

banking on time

scriptural reference: Psalm 90:12, 'So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts to wisdom.' pray, think. pray. live and love. we do it so easily. i do not suppose we notice. we bank on time, like interest on money we have saved in hand, wallet, or account. this casual assumption of moments, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years is shuffled ahead of us, along with winter, spring, summer, or autumn lawn leaves.  i do not believe we premeditate our expectations with heavy-handed extravagance. we use no excess that would cause our cheeks to blush and eyes to look furtively furrowed with doubt. we only hope bashfully to bank on time with reasoned and rationed moderation. our humble modesty seemingly gives credence and credibility to our imagined then. simultaneously silently sanctioning the rightness of our assumptive passivity. we secretly borrow tomorrow's like quietly slipping coins from our dressed-up pants to our casual pocket unnoticed. reaching timid...
